USAT thinks so highly of mentoring that it is now a coaching requirement. In fact, it’s for everyone from athletes to single-sport to triathlon coaches.
Level I USAT coaches are required to engage mentors and this service is also offered to Level II coaches and single-sport coaches in need of more information or guidance. Letters of support and accomplishment can be sent to governing bodies upon request.
Self-coached athletes often need feedback on their programs without converting to premium or full time coaching. Live-time online sessions help the self-coached athlete to identify limiters, areas for improvement, properly use key workouts and test sets, and track power progress over time, and to apply coaching wisdom to workouts with a new perspective.
Popular topics for 2014 involved coaches new to TRX training, swim coaching feedback, metabolic efficiency training, cycling with power data and understanding its application, sorting through periodization models, annual plan creation, sequencing strength with multisport training, writing a great taper, and working through transition running form issues with athletes. The sky is the limit on topics, as this service includes researching answers to your questions from the most basic to advanced.
Fee is $70 per hour, payable at time of service. All sessions are conducted online. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
