Winter 13.1 Run Training
13.1 Group Run Fun: 12/12/18- 3/09/19 (aka the soggy, cold months!)
This 13 week progression is perfect for March and April 13.1 events. We will keep our spirits high with group training through the winter. You’ve asked for it, so you got it! Group run fun!!
Who: All levels of athletes welcome. However, to start this program, runners need to be able to complete 3 miles of running or run/walking free of pain.
What: A group program with individual options and great planning to prepare you for a race or to just stay fit through the winter months. 10k to 13.1 suggested distance.
How: You will receive a written program with 4 weekly planned sessions to help you safely complete your training with guidance. Two of these are coached runs. One of these is injury prevention and one will be cross training or running. There will be one scheduled monthly call with each runner to sync up, track progress, and stay connected. 🙂 More time is available to you by appointment. Your program will be created in a Google doc or Training Peaks basic as you prefer.
Wed pm: 3504 Shady Creek Drive (coach house) Warm up, rolling, and prep time for 10 mins, talk for 5, and off we go 6-7pm. 75 minutes. Meet up 5:45 pm.
Sat am:aBean Traders Coffee Shop https://beantraderscoffee.com/ Meet up and warm up 7:45 am, run time 8-9:30 am. We will meet at Bean Traders in Durham off of I-40. Ahh! This puts us right on the American Tobacco Trail, provides easy access, and we get hot coffee after! 🙂
December Dates: Wed Dec 12, 19, 26 and Saturday Dec 15, 22, 29. (3 weeks)
January Dates: Wed Jan 2, 9, 16, 23 and Saturday Jan 5,12, 19, 26 (4 weeks)
February Dates: Wed 6, 13, 20, 27 and Saturday Feb 2, 9, 16, 23 (4 weeks)
March Dates: Wed 6, 13 and Saturday 2, 9 (2 weeks)
This includes 2.5 hrs of coach time per week and a monthly coach call. You will have all you need in place to run 13.1 with 13 weeks of guided training. Register with a friend or partner and you each receive a free run video-taping with feedback.

Open Water Swim Training
Join a small group for Open Water Skill work at Jordan Lake.
These coached sessions are $25 per session and include individual written feedback as well as your guaranteed improvement. Coach Stacey is Water Safety Instructor Certified, Red Cross Professional Rescuer certified, and licensed and insured through USA Triathlon.
Group size limited for safety and quality.
